Self Portrait Linocut.

    While I made my portrait I had to think about spacing and where I wanted to put color. I decided to a mix of black and whit accents in different places. The face was mostly white black outlines and black heart freckles. On the background I did mostly black with white patterns. It was hard trying to balance the colors and the spacing because I wanted to make sure it wasn't too much of one color. The hardest places to carve were around the mouth, nose, heart freckles, and circle patterns.

    I chose to use this picture because I thought since there was a lot of hair I could make patterns, even though I just made random strokes. I also used this picture because there was enough  background space to use a pattern.
